RULES & REGULATIONS

Player Interaction
We do not practice discrimination of any kind here. No matter who you are, what you are, where you come from or anything else, everyone gets a fair chance in HYBRID. We like to keep a very "treat others how you would like to be treated" mentality. Anyone proven to be harassing another player, be they in HYBRID or another place entirely in such a way that it causes the victim distress and/or brings heat down on HYBRID, will be warned against further action by an admin. A second offense will have them removed from HYBRID entirely with no option to return. We take the comfort and safety of our players very seriously. Any concerns of this nature should be brought to an admin immediately.
Questions and Concerns
The staff has an open door policy. If you have any questions, concerns or problems that you want addressed, please message staff privately on Discord/Twitter. A PM on the boards is also an option, though messages are far more likely to be seen if they come through Discord/Twitter. We will always hear a person out and do our best to set situations right.
Storylines, Wins, and Losses
We encourage players to come up with storylines for their characters and to involve others in that process, though effort will be made by the staff to come up with feuds and storylines to carry everyone through the seasons. While the staff requires knowledge of handler-created storylines before they are properly put into effect, it is rare that we will deny one. If the subject matter or actions required are too touchy, we will ask for it to be altered or will otherwise deny it entirely, however. It is especially important for storylines involving champions to be brought to our attention quickly in case there are already set plans for them. Also, any non-staff storyline involving a champion cannot see the championship change hands without staff approval for the same reason.
Deciding Results
Wins and losses are determined by the staff. When making these decisions, we take the following into consideration:
- Twitter promotion of matches/feuds/shows, tagging opponents and the fed itself
- Submitting segments on Vanguard/PPVs
- Having material in on time, properly edited
- Generally being reliable
Previously, it was simply a matter of the staff deciding who won and lost based on what would tell the best story. But as so many have come into HYBRID and passed through with barely a peep despite being given ample opportunity, we have decided that a change was in order. Storylines, title matches, and more will still often have a predetermined result at the end, but if it is decided that the effort is lacking on one side, or all sides, then the staff reserves the right to alter the outcome. Handler-created storylines have a little more leeway as the staff will mostly supervise their execution, but if the time and booking given is not utilized, thus making that time wasted when it could have gone to someone or something willing to put in the effort, staff and and will step in to determine how things finish. As previously stated, if there are any questions, our virtual doors are always open. Player input is always welcome, but coming in hot over a match result that does not suit you is a sure-fire way to cause problems, so bear this in mind. Most storylines will see the participants brought into a private conversation with the staff to lay everything out so all sides can work towards that goal. However, letting out spoilers about these conversations is a sure-fire way to cause trouble and staff will respond accordingly. The following also applies when it comes to shows and results:
- Unbooked characters can have a match added if they write it themselves
- Not being booked is no excuse to not do segments/tweets
- The roster must be cycled so that everyone gets a turn having a match
- As a result, people cannot be booked every show and may have one or two off in a season
As with most else, direct all questions to the staff via Discord/Twitter.
No One Likes A Jackass
We’re a pretty laid back group of people here. We like to laugh and throw jokes around and all that jazz. But there are limits. Belligerence, insults, bigotry, discrimination, stalking, and their ilk in the Discord, on Twitter, or anywhere else won’t be tolerated. As with anything else, if there’s a problem, contact the staff and we’ll sort things out. HYBRID strives to be as drama-free as possible. Bear this in mind.
You're In Or You're Out
Communication is vital. Handlers will be contacted with frequency when it comes to storylines and matches to ensure that details are proper and that the handlers can offer their own thoughts and input on things, and also to remind people to promote. For obvious reasons, we can't use all the offered ideas, but they will be taken into account. This does, however, lead to two important details that must be noted. Firstly, if you are writing a match or otherwise know the result of one for storyline purposes, that result is not to be posted via promo or social media before the posting of the show. To do so is considered a serious infraction. Secondly, if you decide that you no longer want to participate in HYBRID, please let a staff member know either via Twitter, Discord or board PM. As our rosters are always growing and fluctuating, knowing who still wants to be an active part of the shows is important; there is no sense in giving someone shine when they are no longer invested as it takes time away from an active participant. Inactivity of a protracted sort will simply result in you silently being removed from the roster.
Limits: We All Have Them
In order to keep things stable in terms of roster size, so as not to have people on the bench for weeks on end waiting to cycle into action, we are limiting the roster currently to 25-30 singles wrestlers and 10-12 tag teams. A handler is not allowed to have more than two active wrestlers at a time. A tag team in which both wrestlers are handled by the same person counts as one active wrestler, but be aware that tag teams will only be booked as that: teams. There may be situations where a team member will be booked in a singles match, but we will seek to make that far and few between. As it stands, outside of active wrestlers, a handler can also have one trainer and one manager on the roster for the purpose of segments, working with other characters in a non-competitive capacity, and so on.
