Ring Entrance
The lights go out. A few moments later, a white spotlight shines at the top of the ramp. In that spotlight we see a man wearing a robe that "Blake Mason Experience '' embroidered in white. The lights to the rest of the arena come back on, the chorus to "The Night" by Disturbed echos through the loudspeaker. Blake Mason still has his back turned to the camera. Standing beside him is Christy Hightower. Blake heads to the ring at a methodical pace. Reaching the steel steps, he walks up them, onto the apron, steps into the ring. Christy isn't too far behind. Blake steps onto the middle turnbuckle with his arms outstretched as if he's basking in his own glory. He takes off his robe, hands it to Christy. She exits the ring with it. Blake hops down. He immediately hits the ropes, then stops in the center of the ring. Drops down to his knees. Points up to the sky before he stands upright. He walks over to the nearest corner to look down at the floor with Christy.
Gimmick
A man with nothing else left to lose. He was once the crown prince of the Mason family. Ladies man. Charmer. And a good wrestler. Over time he lost his prominence within his own family. His best friend. The woman he was looking to build a life with. Left with nearly nothing, he has returned to the sport he has shared a love hate relationship with, professional wrestling. As much as he may hate it at times, the sport is his own solace, and with that, an unpredictable man who wants one thing now. To rebuild his life, even if it comes off the backs off other people.
History
William ‘Blake’ Mason by his own admission is a man who had the potential to do great things in the wrestling business. The rich family he was born into. The good looks. All the charm the world couldn’t get for man who had everything that he truly wanted. Started out in VWA in 2008. Took him less than a year to win his first championship. A contract dispute led him to Supreme Championship Wrestling’s doorstep. Established an on again, off again working relationship that ended in 2021. Won a couple championships, involved in some seminal moments, never became the World Championship. The lone championship that has gotten away. In the meantime, his personal life has been rather... interesting. Divorced three times. Involved in multiple business ventures. Has a daughter. 2022 wasn’t the greatest year of his life, some would argue karma caught up to him. No longer the Patriarch of the family, no best friend and his latest attempt at a relationship compromised, the prodigal son has returned to the only area in his life that he has felt whole in (despite the love/hate relationship), professional wrestling.
Gone is the man who tried to rehab his image to become a better person. He has decided to embrace his darker tendencies. Will this give him solace? Only one way to find out.
