Meeting a hero (Unaired Vanguard segment)

We come back to ringside where we see Jessie Robinson already standing the ring, smiling as the fans are cheering for them. They wave out to the crowd as their music begins to cut out and they hold the microphone up and run around the ring, the crowd firing up even more now as the excitement is clear on their face.
Jessie Robinson: Hybrid! How are yinz doin tonight?!
The crowd pops once again as Jessie can’t help but smile widely.
Jessie Robinson: Now, I know that the start of my career hasn’t exactly gone how I would have planned for it to go. Three matches, three losses, but two of those were because a certain person decided she can’t either play well with others or has to cheat to try and win matches.
The crowd begins to boo as Jessie shakes their head in agreement.
Jessie Robinson: Everyone knows I’m talking about Bianca Davis, the self proclaimed “Queen”. Honey, I’m a motherfudging Queen.
Jessie snaps their fingers and chuckles as the crowd gives them another roar of approval.
Jessie Robinson: Week after week though, I feel myself getting better and better. I push myself further and further past what I thought I was capable of. I have my two bestest friends, Super Tiger and Mikaela Calloway and boy, both of them are super amazing in their own ways and I’m so proud of both of them. Me though, I’m still looking for that first big win and well, I know it’ll come one day.
Before Jessie is able to continue, “Unbreakable” by Kingdom Collapse begins to blare through the PA system as the fans erupt into a frenzy while the jaw of the young Robinson in the ring drops as “Unbreakable” Stacy Jones bursts out of the curtain to a standing ovation.
Bernadette Olson: As I live and breathe! It’s Stacy Jones!
Jacob Frankel: While I wasn’t here during HYBRID’s first run, everyone here knows the wealthy history including myself, and for anyone out there who is brand new to HYBRID… you’re looking at a former Evolution and Grand Champion, folks!
Jones with a huge smile on her face makes her way down the ramp, slapping fans’ hands on the way before making her way down the ramp. Once she reaches the bottom, she makes her way around the ring and asks for a microphone and is handed one before she ascends up the steel steps and climbs through the ropes. Looking around at the sold out crowd, she takes it all in for a moment as “Unbreakable” fades out.
Stacy Jones: Wow! You know… coming here tonight? It feels like I’m returning home… but at the same time it also feels like I’m stepping into a brand new place, y’know?
The Unbreakable One pauses for a moment.
Stacy Jones: I was one of the first people Eric Donovan contacted to ask if I would be a part of HYBRID during its first run… and this place will forever have a place in my heart as it was the first place I won the top prize in.
The fans cheer again as Jones finally turns her attention to Robinson.
Stacy Jones: Jessie. First of all, it’s nice to finally meet you in person. And I was just in the back there listening to what you were saying and… you’re absolutely right. You’re still in the early stages of your career and I’ve been watching you… you’re definitely a future star in the making.
The Unbreakable One smiles at the young star standing in front of her.
Stacy Jones: Do you remember our little Twitter exchange a little bit ago? Where I was looking for one off matches and you said that it would be a dream of yours to face me one day and that I said I would try and make it happen?
Robinson nods slowly, still starstruck that one of the wrestlers they look up to is standing in front of them.
Stacy Jones: Well, honey? You’ve got a match with me in two weeks time at Vanguard #5!
The fans explode with cheers again at the sound of this.
Stacy Jones: And unlike a certain “Queen” that you’ve been dealing with lately… and trust me… I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with bitches like her for years. Unlike her, you’re not gonna need to worry about me pulling any sort of underhanded tactics to win. It’ll be how a wrestling match is supposed to be, you and I having a great clean match that’s gonna blow the roof off of this joint! I’ve already signed the paperwork… just need your signature once we get to the back. So what do you say?
Jessie, left there standing speechless as the crowd erupts at the possibility of the match happening here in Hybrid. Jessie looks around at the crowd and then back at Stacy. They do this a couple of more times before they take a deep breath and bring the microphone up to speed.
Jessie Robinson: Mrs. Jones…I ummm…holy moley. I can't believe this is actually happening. I accept!
Jones smiles and outstretches her hand towards Jessie for a handshake.
Stacy Jones: May the best wrestler win.
Jessie smiles and nods their head as the crowd cheers the two of them as they raise Stacy's arm up and the two soak in the adulation as the camera fades out.
