Derrick Vayden vs. Brody Slater
Singles/One Fall
Derrick Vayden vs. Brody Slater
DING! DING! DING!
Brody seems to know where this is going and heâs determined not to be a punching bag once again. He charges Derrick, who pastes him with a stiff right hand that drops Slater to the mat, leaving him cradling his jaw. Rather than pursuing, Derrick stands back, leaned against the ropes as Brody scrambles back to get to his feet. That he isnât charged after gets under Brodyâs skin and he charges again, ducking another fist from Derrick and hitting the ropes, landing a hard shoulder to the newcomer that staggers but doesnât knock Derrick down. Vayden glances at the crowd as if to say âcan you believe this joker?â which further infuriates Brody. He goes at Derrick again, landing a few chops to the chest before Derrick ducks under a swing and spikes Brody in the jaw with a back elbow. Brody staggers back into the ropes and rebounds into Derrick, landing a headbutt that gets him an opening. He attempts an Irish whip but runs straight at an Into the Void by Derrick in his haste. Street Justice follows and Brody is up surprisingly quickly⌠except heâs dizzy as hell from the head-first impact. From here, Derrick grabs the arm and delivers Journey to Nowhere. Brody is out before he hits the mat and Derrick covers for the one-two-three!
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: And your winner⌠The Wanderer⌠DERRICK VAYDEN!
Bernadette Olson: Derrick making a violent but impressive statement in his first HYBRID singles match. I think Brody is literally unconscious!
Jacob Frankel: I mean⌠he sorta ran into it. Itâs enough to make you feel sorry for the guy. Still, Iâm liking what I see out of Derrick thus far.
Winner: Derrick Vayden
Result: Pinfall at 4:48 (Journey to Nowhere)
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Never, Ever Satisfied
Never, Ever Satisfied
A video plays showing the issues between AMV, and Queen Bianca Davis, including her tirade in his office, which led her to demand restitution; after that, it then shows how the Royal Couple won the Sisterhood tag team titles, becoming the first-ever tag team champions, highlights of that were playing including Honey whacking Ember with the foreign object which then allowed her to hit Honey Glazed as Summer was looking down and disappointed at herself while The Royals were holding the gold in the air happy as can be. Once again, the Queen had gold in her hands, this time along with her partner Honey Rydel, and it then shows the Maidens of War looking disappointed with the wide girns of the Royal Couple on display; however, last Vanguardâs events were also shown, in which the newly crowned Global Tag Team Champions took on the Sisterhood Champions, in a special champion versus champion showcase. The Royal Couple pulled out all the stops, but Honey was pinned by Sam Tolson, allowing the team of Gigi Nova and Samantha Tolson to get the victory. Carnifex even tried to get involved but kept the teams separated as the cameras cut inside the locker room of the Sisterhood Champions, where we see the Queen pacing like a mad woman. Something was on her mind, dressed in an expensive dress, her blonde locks were in curls, and her Christian Dior high heels clacked against the floor. Her blacked crown was adorning her head sitting, and wearing a less lavish royal robe was none other than Princess Honey Rydel with her crown on her head. Standing in the room is their Royal Entourage of Summer, Simple Simon, and Carnifex, who is glaring. Soon Honeyâs voice rings out in concern.
Princess Honey Rydel: Queen, what's wrong? You havenât been yourself all day?! Did Summer disappoint you?
Summer side eyes but tries to stay out of the glare of Honey, as the Queen still is pacing back and forth. As Simon soon chimes up as he speaks in a pleading tone.
Simple Simon: My Queen, you look restless. Do you need a snack, a drink, or anything? Just say the word.
Soon Biancaâs shrill voice cuts right through the room.
Queen Bianca Davis: How could they do? How could they beat us? We had that match won? I am sick of the mistreatment we have as Royals we deserve respect! We deserve accolades and praise, but we are disrespected like commoners!
Simon looks scared, and Summer seems nervous, trying to stay out of the way. Honey nods her head as she tries to cheer up the Queen.
Princess Honey Rydel: Queen, calm down one loss is not an issue, and they will respect us, trust me. They have no choice; we are the first-ever Sisterhood champions, and we did what we said we would.
Bianca's eyes glance down at her title belt; she gives it a light smile, before returning her gaze to Honey.
Queen Bianca Davis: Again, and with the favoritism of AMV still on display, like you see how he gave Mikela a one-on-one title shot against Duke Andrews? When I cashed in my shot, I had obstacles placed before me and put in a triple-threat match! But again, no favoritism, according to him, what a joke!
Bianca huffs in disgust as Honey gets up, putting her hand on her shoulder as she speaks.
Princess Honey Rydel: Queen, you canât let that get to you, that proved you right that action from AMV, but we are going to control the tag team division we might be the Sisterhood champions, but we all know those Global Belts will belong to us someday as well, because quite frankly they may not know it now, but we are the best tag team in this company. But there's one problem: the name of these belts sisterhood? We're not sisters.
Bianca nodded, looking at the belt on her shoulder again as she said.
Queen Bianca Davis: True, but we are the crown jewels of this company, and it's about time we are treated like that. These belts are the crown jewels of Hybrid. t we hold them as the first-ever champions, and soon they will be the key to greater glory.
Honey nodded her head in agreement.
Princess Honey Rydel: Sounds right to me, and all of these teams who want these titles well? You will all learn your place soon enough, which is at royalty's feet, where you belong. See Queen, donât you feel better now?
Soon the Queen nods her head a sly sinister smirk forms on her face, as she states proudly.
Queen Bianca Davis: I do, thank you, but if ANYONE thinks they will get in our way, they will bend the knee and kiss the ring. Now, let's go. We have better things to do than hanging around this cesspool. Simon, Summer, get our bags ready now!
With that, Summer, and Simon begin to ready the bags of The Royal Couple, as the scene fades to black.
PRE-SHOW MATCH TWO
Singles/One Fall
Sandra Moore vs. Alicia Flaherty
Singles/One Fall
Sandra Moore vs. Alicia Flaherty
DING! DING! DING!
Alicia, in a rare case of facing someone smaller than her, locks up with Sandra but quickly finds herself trapped in a waistlock that quickly becomes a backstabber! Sandra immediately delivers Going Under and moves in for a pin, getting two. Excitement quickly takes over and Sandra delivers a crossbody to Alicia, rolling off and up to her feet, already coming at Alicia as she rises, ducking a high kick and hitting a Pele kick that causes Flaherty to stagger backwards into the buckles. Sandra runs up her opponent and is briefly perched on the second rope before Alicia shoves her off. Flipping backwards and landing on her feet, Sandra hits a running high knee, but her attempt to follow up with a bulldog has her tossed forward! She lands on her feet, but Alicia nails a shotgun dropkick to the back, leaving Sandra to smash into the turnbuckles chest-first! A schoolgirl gets Alicia a quick two-count and she hits the ropes, trying to maintain this rare advantage. A high spinning kick is ducked under and Sandra uses the momentary lapse to deliver a Russian leg sweep, following quickly with a standing moonsault for a near-fall! Alicia surprises her with an inside cradle, but Sandra reverses for two of her own! Alicia charges but is taken down with a drop toe hold leading to One Wrong Step for another close near-fall! Alicia has enough in her to do a standing switch upon being pulled up, attempting a big German suplex on Moore, but Sandra flips out of it and locks on the Sinking Feeling, putting Alicia down in a hurry! Referee Kara Tarantino checks on Flaherty and immediately calls for the bell!
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner⌠The Tiny Earth Mover⌠SANDRA MOORE!
She has her arm raised, but Sandra checks on a slowly-waking Alicia post-match. She offers the young lady a hand up, which Alicia accepts before raising the winnerâs arm and leaving the ring.
Bernadette Olson: Even simple shows of respect are hard to come by these days, but that was nice to see. Sandra really lived up to her âQuickâ nickname tonight. It was hard to keep up with her moves!
Jacob Frankel: Which is good news for the fans, but not her opponents! Well done, Sandra!
Winner: Sandra Moore
Result: Knockout at 3:59 (Sinking Feeling)

What We Want, When We Want
What We Want, When We Want
Earlier in the day, âToo Sexyâ Tiffany Page is walking through a hallway of State Farm Arena talking with a HYBRID Wrestling Employee.
Tiffany Page: Ugh! Do you know who I am? Better yet, do you know my boyfriend is?
The HYBRID Wrestling employee looks at Tiffany uncomfortably.
Tiffany Page: I am judging by that dumb look on your face you know who exactly I am talking about. And if I am not happy then your HYBRID Wrestling Global Heavyweight Champion, Duke Andrews, wonât be happy. So you better make sure I get what I want.
Employee: Yes, maâam.
Tiffany Page: Youâre dismissed.
The employee walks away.
Tiffany Page: The nerve of some people! How do you not know that Duke and I get what we want when we want? It is just pathetic that there are people out there that need to be reminded of such things.
Tiffany takes a deep breath.
Tiffany Page: But I must digress since tonight is my official HYBRID Wrestling debut when I take on Ingrid Valencia. I say my official debut because I am sure you all remember I helped out Duke when he wanted to get the attention of the former Global Champion last year. But as of a couple weeks ago I am now a contracted HYBRID Wrestling wrestler. So the higher ups donât have to follow through with their threats after I joined in on having some fun with Duke last year. So now that I am signed to HYBRID, what now? I am sure you are expecting the typical answers of beating people up, winning championships, and making as much money as I can. And sure that holds true for me but I want more than that. Duke has already reached the top of the mountain here and he will stay there for a very, very long time. While my very good friend, Bianca Davis, and her partner HoneyâŚwhatâs her name? Whatever her last name is she seems like a great lady and if she is a friend of Bianca she is a friend of mine. They are the new Sisterhood Championships and I damn sure wonât be left behind. Because unlike most of the disgusting poors out in the world I was born into wealth and will never ever have to worry about money. Hell my great, great, great grandkids wonât have to worry about money but that is beside the point. My point is that I am not desperate like many of you people in the locker room. Which is why I get to do what I want when I want and I will make a huge impact here in HYBRID Wrestling with Duke, B, and all of our friends enjoying our spoils. So rest assured I will get what I want because I will be the star of the show. The one that will innovate new concepts, style, and techniques into HYBRID wrestling. Which is why I will eventually win the championship that best solidifies that and you will get to see me, week in and week out, prove my dominance.
Tiffany winks at the camera and walks away.
Bernadette Olson: Now who does THAT remind you of?
Jacob Frankel: Donât even say the name. Thankfully, thereâs no time to elaborate, because her debut match is nextâŚ

Singles/One Fall
Tiffany Lynn Page vs. Ingrid Valencia
DING! DING! DING!
Two like minds collide, with Tiffany immediately slapping the taste out of Ingridâs mouth and getting a rebuke almost immediately! From there they grab one anotherâs hair and start throwing fists, with Ingrid getting backed up into the ropes! The Shining Light resorts to covering up and trying to pull the referee in the way, leaving Zach Young in the line of fire! Tiffany shoves him aside and Ingrid thumbs her in the eye⌠but that only pisses Two Sexy off! She cold-cocks Ingrid in the chin and grabs her by the head, running Ingridâs face along the top rope the hard way, all the way to the turnbuckles where, with another handful of hair, she bounces the other blondeâs head off the padded steel several times before Young recovers and starts a five-count! Tiffany breaks off at four but shows Zach the hand when he threatens disqualification, cinching Ingrid in for a snap suplex. Valencia is up, thanks to the ropes, while Tiffany addresses the booing of the fans! She bursts in with a forearm to the back of the head but Tiffany weathers that with ease, booting Ingrid in the midsection and hitting a Hottie Bomb for a near-fall! Following up with some hard knees to the chest of a bent-over Valencia, Tiffany delivers Alluring next before putting the boots to Ingrid, including a shot where she grinds the sole of her boot on the forehead of the Shining Light! Zach Young, again, admonishes Tiffany, who retorts sharply to the young official before pulling Ingrid up by the hair.
Ingrid breaks loose while Page is briefly distracted, hitting a desperation jawbreaker that has Tiffany checking her mouth for blood! Ingrid, beaten down, still tries to line up the Valencia Revolution but Tiffany smoothly gets inside the kick before it can land, grabbing Ingrid by the shoulders and hitting Sex in the City, dropping Valencia and earning herself the pinfall victory!
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: The winner of the match⌠Too Sexy⌠TIFFANY LYNN PAGE!
Tiffany keeps up the punishment after the bell, to a point where Zach Young has to call for more referees to come down and try and break things up! That, however, brings out Duke Andrews, who comes close to tossing a few of said officials around until security shows up, getting between the couple and their targets! Duke, clearly not impressed, still gets his lady calmed down and they leave the ring together to a chorus of boos while security eyes them. The officials check on Ingrid as the power couple heads backstage.
Bernadette Olson: That is a dangerous young lady, and not just because sheâs backed up by the Global Heavyweight Champion.
Jacob Frankel: She has all sorts of skill and a definite mean streak. But I still donât like her attitude.
Winner: Tiffany Lynn Page
Result: Pinfall at 6:18 (Sex in the City)
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Frightening Inevitability
Frightening Inevitability
The scene opens with the Leader of the Lost Generation, Noah Ortega; standing in front of a Vanguard logo'd backdrop, alongside him his followers and stablemates of The Lost - former HYBRID Global Tag Team Champions, Anton Palmer & Gio Moriello.
Noah Ortega: "It was inevitable... we are inevitable."
He breaks into a sinister chuckle, one that grows as his grin on his face does too.
Noah Ortega: "The revolution, is only half complete."
Ortega pauses, allowing his signature smirking plastering onto his lip.
Jacob Frankel: Your guess is as good as mine! Thereâs still a lot of talent in there- wait⌠whoâs that?
Bernadette Olson: Some masked guy just showed up, swinging a steel pipe!
And theyâre pretty indiscriminate about it, too! Their first target is GoGo before they move on to Marcus, Jackie and Aiofe before Alexis attacks from behind, knocking the weapon away! She and the masked figure brawl, with the latter going for a DDT on the floor before theyâre shoved away! Marcus and the rest swarm the masked man, save for Laura and GoGo. They instead try to bring down Marcus and nearly succeed before he escapes the predicament, instead sending Laura into a rack of chairs and dropping GoGo face-first on a nearby table! Jackie and Aiofe, however, put an end to the rampage of Marcus! Post-elimination, though, theyâre jumped by the masked figure, though they quickly turn the tide. Alexis, taking advantage of the damage done, is able to eliminate GoGo, but Laura still has some fight in her, and the two scrap it out before Alexis suplexes Laura into the rubble of a broken table, which is just enough to keep her down for three!
Bernadette Olson: Is that person officially part of the match now? Is that allowed?!
Jacob Frankel: Security isnât hauling him off, so I guess so! And that means weâre down to four: Aiofe, Jackie, Alexis and this masked person!
Said masked person, pipe retrieved, smashes Aiofe, eliminating them from the match while Jackie and Alexis slug it out! Alexis is unable to put Jackie in the Lemondrop, and Jackieâs One-Armed Bandit is likewise escaped! The masked person goes for the back of Jackieâs leg after Alexis escapes and uses a big jumping stomp to knock her out and eliminate her! Itâs now down to Alexis and the mystery person, and Lemon isnât going down without a fight! She grabs the pipe and lays waste to the mystery person, tossing it aside after several shots and going for the mask! At that moment, though, the lights go out briefly and when they return, the masked man is no longer in Lemonâs grasp! Instead, theyâre standing behind her! Theyâre already in motion as Alexis whips around, kicking off the wall for a big roundhouse kick that gets them the final elimination and the win!
Spirit Montego, though, has no clue what to call the winner⌠and at any rate, theyâre gone after another flicker of the lights!
Bernadette Olson: I donât know how to call that one, fans, but we DO have a winner⌠just not sure WHO it is!
Jacob Frankel: Well, I doubt the boss-man is just gonna let things slide like that! Heâll address it⌠probably at the next Vanguard!

Result: Pinfall at 20:18 (Springboard Roundhouse Kick)
Noah Ortega: "We are The Lost, and we, are the foundations of Hybrid. This company has been ours to conquer since it's return to the scene and we have not yet conquered, no, we have only scratched the surface! But we're back now, from the dead, down and out, when everybody thought we'd never return... but from the ashes, we rose like a phoenix. We're coming back for everything we lost, for everything we hoped and dreamed of accomplishing... it was all in our grasp, in our very control - but we let it all slip away... but no more. The tides are changing."
The Lost say back to him in unison;
The Lost: "And soon the world will know!"
Noah Ortega: "That The Lost are the reckoning of professional wrestling!
The Lost interject:
The Lost: "And soon, the world will know!"
Noah Ortega: "That Noah Ortega; the leader of the lost generation - is the man to lead HYBRID as the ultimate ace."
He rubs his hands together in excitement, once again allowing his sadistic smirk to plaster over his lips.
Noah Ortega: "Everything grows, and we have only grown stronger. Our day on the mountaintop is coming and for the rest of you... your days are numbered."
Ortega smirks arrogantly as Moriello and Palmer pump themselves up in the background, with the scene gradually fading to black.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Heart of Iron, Fist of Steel
Heart of Iron, Fist of Steel
Backstage at the State Farm Arena.
Melissa Tasman: If anyone thought I was down yet they need to think again. I'm still here and still out to put on a show for the HYBRID universe. And tonight its starts a journey for the Iron Heart title. How that show will go. Well lets start with a little lesson.
Iron is a pretty strong metal on its own. But it can be strengthened into steel, far more durable than iron. And more useful overall.
But it takes a crucible in a forge to remove the impurities from the iron and whatever agent is strengthening it. It burns inside. The iron has to be a liquid for this to happen. In that shape it doesn't do much until it is poured into a mold into the shape it needs to be.
I am in that crucible. I am being forged into something new. And Stephanie Kenyon is the agent to get rid of my impurities. Because when I come out I'm gonna be stronger than ever. I'm going to be the one in the end raising my hand tonight.
The first forge is me, the Tasmellian Devil.
Fade.

Iron Heart Championship Qualifier Match
Singles/One Fall
Stephanie Kenyon vs. Melissa Tasman
DING! DING! DING!
Melissa is somewhat cautious around Stephanie to begin, holding off on locking up to try and bring the more experienced competitor down. Stephanie resists the original attempts, breaking out of a waistlock and getting behind Tasman, hoisting her up and putting her down on the mat. Melissa slithers out of a front facelock attempt and immediately tries to put on Texas Heat, but Stephanie smartly gets out of reach and to the ropes. Melissa smiles ever so slightly and the look is returned by Kenyon, leading to the two women locking up. Despite their very similar builds, Stephanie has the slight strength and weight advantage and elbows her way out of an attempted German suplex, countering and hitting a backdrop on Melissa, the follow-up pin getting a one-count. Melissa backs off a few feet before getting back up and Stephanie gives her the moment she needs. Both women know whatâs at stake and remain cautious, locking up again. Melissa backs Stephanie into the ropes and shoots her off. Stephanie reverses but Melissa springboards into a back elbow and rolls up to her feet, delivering a sliding dropkick before Kenyon can get out of the way. Tasman folds up Stephanie for another pin attempt and gets two before Kenyon kicks out.
A clothesline is ducked and Stephanie brings Melissa down with a reverse neckbreaker before dropping a leg across the chest. She pulls Tasman up into a rear chinlock but the rookie is quick to get to her feet and elbow her way out. Stephanie, though, grabs her again, this time in a side headlock, and flips her to the mat. Melissa counters by rolling Stephanie backwards into another pinning predicament, getting off a rolling neck snap when Stephanie kicks out and sits up, leading to another quick pin for two. Tasman uses her energy to keep the pressure on Stephanie here, but the Wildcat has no quit in her. She tries to back body drop Melissa over the top rope, though Tasman lands on her feet. A clothesline knocks her down, though, and a sliding dropkick from Stephanie knocks Melissa the rest of the way to the floor. Though not strictly a flier, Stephanie delivers a shot reminiscent of a heat-seeking missile through the ropes and to Melissa on the floor, following up with Empress of Thunder! The crowd is getting more and more into the battle, even as Melissa breaks out of Stephanieâs grip and drives her back-first into the apron before rolling her into the ring and following. It isnât quite enough to put Stephanie on defense, though, as Stephanie hits Kneel, Peasant to Melissa for a close near-fall. From there, Kenyon lines up for the Kiss-Off but Melissa puts on the brakes at the last moment, just barely evading the shot. Stephanie, unused to the move not landing, is blasted with a sitout facebuster for a near-fall! A dropsault sends her into the buckles, but Kenyon pulls Tasman out of a leaping splash for a modified spinebuster, leading to another pin attempt! Melissa, however, turns it into Texas Heat before the hand comes down for three! Stephanie gets a leg over the bottom rope to break things up, but a modified shining wizard rocks her world! Melissa vaults to the top rope for the Tasmelian Devil and records the surprise three-count!
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: The winner of the match, advancing to the Iron Heart Championship Match⌠MELISSA TASMAN!
Stephanieâs shoulder had gone up, but just barely after the three-count. Melissa seems as surprised as her opponent, but thereâs no heat between the two. Stepahnie chuckles at the result, shaking her her head while applauding Melissa, whoâs now going to Vanguard #20 to face the winner of the Dixon/Harper match later tonight for the Iron Heart Championship!
Bernadette Olson: A bit of a surprise win there for Melissa Tasman, but thatâs not to put shade on her! More of an acknowledgement of Stephanieâs skill and experience!
Jacob Frankel: Good on the Tasmelian Devil for this victory, Bernie! Itâd be a big feather in her cap if she could win the title in two weeks, but no matter who her opponent is, itâs gonna be a long night!
Bernadette Olson: Something tells me that this young lady wouldnât mind that at all, Jakey!
Winner: Melissa Tasman
Result: Pinfall at 10:21 (Tasmelian Devil)
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
How Rude!
How Rude!
Avatarâs âViolence No Matter Whatâ hits in the arena, signaling the arrival of The Rascal Witch, Alexis Lemon, which brings the crowd to a roar. The aforementioned witch strolls out onto the stage and throws her hands up to hype up the crowd before making her way to the ring and interacting with the crowd while she does.
Lemon slides into the ring and calls for a mic, which she receives with a gracious âthanks!â. She positions herself in the center of the ring and takes in the cheers from the crowd until they eventually settle down enough for her to be able to speak. She raises the mic to her lips-
But sheâs quickly cut off as âXâ by Poppy hits over the speakers. Lexi turns her attention to the stage, where a familiar redhead is walking out, a microphone in hand. While Lemon scowls, Katie Simmons begins
Katie Simmons: Oh no, donât you dare think youâre going to come out here and talk about how youâre SO EXCITED and are READY FOR AN OPPORTUNITY or whatever you say without getting whatâs coming to you after two weeks ago.
Alexis looks on with an amused smile on her face. She raises her eyebrows in mocking shock at the mention of revenge.
Alexis Lemon: Oh, whatâs coming to me? All I did was clap back after you and Paul Bunyan cost me the Vanguard championship. Donât dish it out if you canât take it, yâknow?
As Lemon talks, Katie is making her way down the ramp before stopping just before the ring.
Katie Simmons: You really shouldnât pick a fight thatâs out of your weight class, dear. Plenty of people before you have tried and theyâve all ended up on their back, looking up at the lights. And those people were much bigger, much stronger and much more experienced than you. So can you even imagine what he will do to you?
Alexis Lemon: I think I can. The less intimidating Chucky doll is going to talk my ears off and then her giant ugly dog is going to⌠I donât know⌠eat me or something. Whatever it is you two spout off about all the time. So why donât we get to the point already? Where you are, he isnât far behind. So you go and find him. Iâll wait right here.
The Citrus Witch tosses her microphone out of the ring and gestures for the redhead to walk away, but Simmons doesnât move. Instead, her bitter expression curls into a devious smirk.
Katie Simmons: Oh, Iâm not going anywhere⌠One, because I donât take direction from a CHILD! âŚAnd two, because I donât need to find him⌠Heâs already found youâŚ
Katie begins to giggle, leaving Lemon confused. That is, until some commotion behind her grabs her attention, causing her to turn around right into a decapitating clothesline from The Colossus, Damian Simmons!
SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
Singles/One Fall
Alexis Lemon vs. Damian Simmons
Singles/One Fall
Alexis Lemon vs. Damian Simmons
The Juggernaut stands over the teenager, a seething rage all over his face, drawing a chorus of boos from the crowd. He grabs her by her hair and then by the throat, lifting her up and slamming her back down onto the mat, all to the utter delight of Mrs. Simmons. Damian doesnât stop there, however, as he begins stomping a mudhole into Lemon, as if he were making lemonade and his boot is the juicer!
Finally a dazzle of referees flood the ring, doing their best to separate the beast from his prey. Damian, surprisingly, steps away, allowing the zebras to check on the downed witch, whose eyes are wide open in pure pain. However that doesnât stop her from getting to her feet, still holding her back from the chokeslam moments before. She can be heard screaming âIâM FINE!â as the referee checks her over. She demands for the ref to ring the bell, but he looks hesitant to do so. That is, until Katie begins squawking at him. And then the roar from the near literal giant across the ring. Itâs this barrage of sound that forces the ref to give in. He checks with Lemon one more time, who nods confidently. With a sigh, the ref clears the ring of his fellow zebras before calling for the bell.
DING! DING! DING!
As soon as the bell sounds, Simmons charges across the ring and leaves his feet, leaping towards Lemon and crashing into her with a massive corner splash! He tosses her forward, where she rolls into a seated position. Simmons hits the opposite set of ropes and runs at her with a low dropkick, drawing a massive cheer from the Siren on the outside. A strong pin attempt picks up a quick two, seeming to only anger Simmons more. He pulls the Rascal Witch back to her feet, who tries to fight the giant off with a series of kidney punches, but all that gains her is a massive shove into the ropes.
However it backfires on the giant, as Lemon ricochets off the rope and comes back with a fully loaded dropkick to the shin of Simmons, dropping him to one knee! She hits the ropes again and comes back with a Heartburn kick but Simmons still doesnât go down! He instead leans on the ropes and uses them to scramble to his feet, just in time to get hit with a running high-knee! Lemon goes to complete her Acidic Blitz combination but Simmons shrugs off the knee to his face and hoists the teenager up and drives her down with a Skyfall!
Simmons seethes as he glares down at the still body of Lemon. He puts a boot on her chest and the ref counts the pin. But before he can hit three, Katie commands her husband to get off of his downed opponent. She grins evilly as she instructs him to do more damage. He nods and scoops Lemon up once again before hitting another Skyfall. And another. And another! He finally releases the thoroughly squeezed Lemon only because of the referee forcing him to let her go.
The ref checks on the fallen Lemon again but Simmons doesnât allow that to go on for very long, as he grabs the Wasted Youth and lifts her up for yet another powerbomb, but this time, he throws her down outside the ring! Lemonâs back hits the floor with a sickening thud, with Katieâs sinister laughter as the soundtrack playing over it. Katie screams at the ref to count Lemon out, and he does just that.
Katie screams at Lemon and laughs in her face as the latter writhes in pain on the floor outside the ring. The ref is at the count of seven and Lemon has barely moved. She can just manage to roll over by the time the ref hits ten and calls for the bell. Avatarâs Colossus plays as Damian Simmons glares down at his fallen opponent from the ring while his hand is raised in victory. Katie crawls into the ring, putting on a show of wiping her feet in the direction of the fallen Lemon as she does so, going to celebrate with her husband!
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: And your winner⌠DAMIAN SIMMONS!
Bernadette Olson: Good grief⌠thereâs no depths that Damian and his loud wife wonât stoop to!
Jacob Frankel: Not that he wouldnât have had a great chance of beating her straight-up based on size alone, but at least give Alexis a fighting chance! Still⌠she hung in there⌠and with her attitude and fire, you know this ainât over!
Bernadette Olson: Good, because Iâd like to see her shut Katie up for once!
Winner: Damian Simmons
Result: Countout at 7:56
HIKARUâS HAVEN
Nathaniel Dixon
Nathaniel Dixon
In the backstage area of the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, the viewers are treated to the Beloved Haven of HYBRID Wrestling Origin. The painting of Sakura trees hangs on the wall opposite the door, the four marble pillars in the corners of the room hold up elegant Japanese vases, and the Japanese cypress wood coffee table sits in the center with a lovely tea set on top. There are colorful chrysanthemums painted on this set. Around the table are matching black leather recliner seats and a black leather loveseat.
âOkÄsan, kore de yoroshÄŤdesu kaâŚ?â
(Mother, are you sure about this)
Walking into the cameraâs view are the mother-son duo of Hikaru and Minoru Yamamoto-Page. While heâs dressed casually for the evening, his mother dons formal wear. Hikaru regards her son with a gentle smile and a nod.
Hikaru Page: Hai, Mino-kun. Watashi wa jibun no shigoto o suru hitsuyĹ ga arimasu. SĹdenakereba, watashi wa koko de nani o shite iru nodesu ka?
(Yes, Mino-kun. I need to do my job. Otherwise, what am I doing here?)
Minoru Yamamoto-Page: Demo Dikuson wa kowai otokoda! Watashi wa kare o shin'yĹ shite imasen.
(But Dixon is a scary man! I donât trust him.)
His genuine concern is sweet. She places a hand on his upper back and caresses him.
Hikaru Page: KittodaijĹbu.
(It will be alright.)
Her eyes focus on the camera and the red light. Minoru turns towards the camera as well and the two bow in unison.
Hikaru Page: Koniâchiwa, miânaa. Good evening, everyone. Welcome to Hikaruâs Haven on HYBRID rEvolution! Watashi no name Peiji Hikaru.
Minoru Yamamoto-Page: Yamamoto-PÄji Minoru tomĹshimasu! I hope everybody is doing well. Life has been a little hectic.
Hikaru Page: Mino-kunâs right. Heâs been busy with school. Tren-sama has been busy with his new manga series. I have been traveling between America and Japan for performing arts. Our last interview was on Best Served Cold, the second HYBRID rEvolution pay-per-view.
Minoru Yamamoto-Page: Tonight, weâre going to remedy this! Even though Iâm not too crazy about one of our guestsâŚ
The young boy pouts. His mother weakly smiles and folds her hands together in front of her.
Hikaru Page: Please welcome Nasanieru to Makushimirian Dikuson!
The Dixon Brothers enter the Haven through the open door. Nathaniel is, of course, dressed in his ring attire with the Styx Corporation Orcus Championship displayed proudly across his left shoulder. Unlike his older brother, Maximilian is formally dressed in a business suit-and-tie combination. Standing across from Hikaru, the three politely bow to one another. However, Minoru is a little too tense to follow suit, folding his arms. Hikaru turns to her son with a frown, but before she can say anything--
Nathaniel Dixon: Itâs alright, Hikaru-san.
Your Lord of Charisma chuckles softly and takes a knee to be on the same level as Minoru. The youth makes sharp eye contact with him, but Nathaniel doesnât flinch.
Nathaniel Dixon: Watashi wa anata ya anata no okÄsan o kesshite kizutsukemasen.
(I will never harm you or your mother.)
Heâs fluent in the Japanese language! Minoru is a little taken aback by this, but he keeps his guard up. Maximilian sighs softly and apologetically bows his head toward Hikaru.
Maximilian Dixon: Iâm sorry, Mrs. Page. I understand we are not well-received hereâŚ
Hikaru Page: O-oh! ÄŞe, thereâs no need to apologize. Please have a seat, everyone. Would you like some Ceylon tea?
Nathaniel Dixon: Weâd love some.
Smiling, Nathaniel rises and takes a seat on one of the recliners. Maximilian nods and takes the other one. Feeling his motherâs eyes on him, Minoru sighs a little and takes a seat on the left side of the loveseat. Hikaru begins to serve their guests first, then she pours a cup for her son, and finally herself. Once she sits down, the four raise their cups and enjoy a couple of sips.
Maximilian Dixon: Mm⌠This is delightful. Thank you, Mrs. Page.
Hikaru Page: DĹitashimashite, Makkusu-san.
She smiles and regards his older brother for a moment.
Hikaru Page: This is not the first time I have been your host. It was a long time ago, butâŚ
Nathaniel Dixon: A time almost forgotten, Hikaru-san. What was originally supposed to be an interview led into a private conversation. This time, we shall give the audience what they desire.
He offers her a knowing little smile. Curious, she nods and holds her cup in her hands.
Hikaru Page: I like to ask new guests to the Haven about themselves. What is your origin story? What brought you into the industry of professional wrestling?
After presenting the questions, she takes another sip of her tea. Nathaniel looks at his younger brother before he faces forward again.
Nathaniel Dixon: The Dixon Family originated in London. However, we relocated to San Diego when I was only two years old. Maximilian and our sisters were born there. The rest of us became U.S. citizens through naturalization. Our mother told us it was quite the process, but it was worth it.
Lowering his cup of tea, Maximilian takes a slow, deep breath.
Maximilian Dixon: My brother will be the Owner of Dixon Corporate Enterprises for sixteen years next month. As for me, I am the Dixon family lawyer as well as a lawyer in the Department of Criminal Justice. Somehow, Iâve also become Nathanielâs business managerâŚ?
Even now, it perplexes him. Nathaniel chuckles, sets his cup down on the coffee table, and places a hand on Maximilianâs shoulder.
Nathaniel Dixon: Max is never at ringside for my matches. Though I suppose he could provide special guest commentary⌠Something to consider.
Maximilianâs eyes widened at the thought. Nathaniel smiles and presses on.
Nathaniel Dixon: My brother is a non-combatant. No harm is to ever come to him. If someone casually threatens him? Well⌠letâs hope it never comes to that, hmm?
A glance towards the camera reveals the darkness in Nathanielâs eyes. However, itâs only for a brief moment before he smiles.
Nathaniel Dixon: In my youth, I was a fan of wrestling. Whether in-person or on the telly, my older sister and I enjoyed the shows. I made a promise to her: to become a championâŚ
Gently, he takes the Orcus Championship from his left shoulder and lays it across an open section of the table. The camera zooms in for a nice shot of the gold.
Nathaniel Dixon: ...and last week, I fulfilled that promise. At the 66th Plaza in Manhattan, I wrestled two matches in one night and my victories were clean. Finally, my hard work paid off. I earned the respect of many and silenced those with hatred in their souls.
His expression brightens; his face lightens up and his earth-colored eyes shimmer. While Maximilian and Hikaru smile, Minoru sets his cup of tea down and huffs.
Minoru Yamamoto-Page: It doesnât make you a good person.
Hikaru Page: Minoru-kun!
No hesitation! Nathaniel turns to the boy and tilts his head with a smirk.
Nathaniel Dixon: Go on. Speak your mind.
Although Hikaru would rather her son quiet himself, Minoru speaks up.
Minoru Yamamoto-Page: You broke the wrist of Ricky Turbo on the ninth Vanguard and broke the ankle of Stephanie Kenyon at Best Served Cold. Outside of this company, you have attacked and injured people. You have spilled their blood. You even tormented my best friend, Li-chan. Youâre not a good person. You are a monster.
Hikaru canât believe what sheâs hearing. Suddenly, the entirety of the Haven feels uneasy. Maximilian immediately looks at his older brother with wide eyes and parts his lips to say something--
Except Nathaniel smiles and laughs.
Nathaniel Dixon: Well, Minoru-kun⌠I am a Gemini. The Lord and the Monster. Miss Cherry and the 10th Street Kings disrespected me. Miss Kenyon intentionally set me off by speaking of matters she knew nothing of. They had to be taught a lesson.
After thatâŚ? I was humbled by two of Mrs. Tara Aylaâs cultists in Pro Wrestling Excellence. Using baseball bats, Ms. Melissa Reed and Mr. Dickie Watson beat me down until I was a bloody mess in the center of the ring. Who knew karma could be so⌠sweet? Believe it or not, it was the start of my change of heart.
The fifth grader before him doesnât know what to say. He simply stares. Nathaniel takes a sip of his Ceylon tea before he continues.
Nathaniel Dixon: Of course, my heart was devastated when I failed to win the New Frontier Wrestling Undisputed Championship⌠When youâve been in this business for as long as I have and youâre without a single title in your career? Itâs incredibly discouraging.
I made a new promise⌠One where I swore to leave the wrestling industry forever if I could not win a championship by the 1st of June. I am a man of my word. Fortunately, I was able to break that particular word of mine. My confidence has returned and my heart is stronger than ever. You could say⌠It is made of iron.
Thatâs a clever play on the HYBRID rEvolution Iron Heart Championship. He smiles at this and takes another sip of his tea.
Nathaniel Dixon: Now I will admit⌠While I was emotionally unsteady at the time, what I said concerning Leina Rael was ill-spoken. I may not be fond of her stepfather, Mr. Damon Debaillion, but he is not Anthony Crawford. To make such a comparison was absolutely disgusting and I offer my sincerest apologies for it.
He regards the camera with furrowed eyebrows and softening eyes. A frown completes the genuine expression of apology. Minoru isnât sure what to make of this, but he doesnât protest. Hikaru takes a sip of her tea and nods.
Hikaru Page: That is very kind of you, Nasanieru-san. Weâve shared quite a bit, but if I may redirect us for a moment⌠Have you seen the result of the first Iron Heart Championship Qualifier Match?
Nathaniel looks at his younger brother who nods at him. He then smiles softly.
Nathaniel Dixon: Of course, Hikaru-san. Iâm well aware of Miss Melissa Tasmanâs victory. Congratulations, dear. I imagine youâll be watching this next match with high anticipation.
However, I must politely focus my attention on Miss Jane Harper. As per tradition, Iâve taken the time to study my opponent. She is one-half of 2 Broke Chicks, an interesting tandem name, and an accomplished tag-team wrestler. Her accolades include BWF Tag-Team Champion, WWA Trios Champion, and GRIME Tag-Team Champion. Sheâs also a member of the Shieldmaidens. HehâŚ
I have every intention of wrestling her to the best of my ability. While sheâs held multiple titles, I am currently a champion. That doesnât mean Iâm going to take her lightly. If anything, this Iron Heart Championship Qualifier is very important to me. As with every single one of my matches, one hundred percent or nothing. Thatâs how it works. I simply hope that she can focus. After all, the Queens of Chaos are never too far awayâŚ
Of course, if they attempt to interfere, I will kindly eject them. If I am going to win, I am going to win fair and square. I have proven myself in the Styx Corporation. Itâs time to do the same in the rEvolution. The new era has already begun. Regardless of how people feel about me, I will no longer be denied.
Maximilian assures this with a firm nod. Hikaru smiles and politely bows her head. Strangely enough, Minoru has been quiet. Everyone finishes their tea around the same time and Hikaru nods.
Hikaru Page: I believe this is a good place to stop. ArigatĹ, Nasanieru-san, Makushimirian-san, for joining us in the Haven.
Maximilian Dixon: Thank you for having us, Mrs. Page, Little Minoru. Please take care.
The younger Dixon brother rises up from his seat and politely bows. Hikaru stands and mirrors this. While Minoru remains seated, Nathaniel regards him with a smile and stands up. He and Hikaru politely bow to one another before she turns to the camera with a smile.
Hikaru Page: Arigato, miânaa. Thank you for joining us, everyone. Please enjoy the rest of Vanguard #19!

Iron Heart Championship Qualifier Match
Singles/One Fall
Nathaniel Dixon vs. Jane Harper
Iron Heart Championship Qualifier Match
Singles/One Fall
Nathaniel Dixon vs. Jane Harper
DING! DING! DING!
Out of her wheelhouse in a singles match, Jane still goes right at Nathaniel, locking up with him and trying to bully him back against the ropes. She finds herself shoved against the buckles instead, though, with Nathaniel almost immediately backing off a few steps to deliver the Evolutionary Imperative, only to stop short when Jane leaves the ring to evade it. Smirking, Nathaniel moves to follow her, trying to grab and send her into the barricade. Rearing her head back, Harper catches Dixon in the nose and turns the tables, hurling him against the steps. She rolls into the ring to break the count and heads back out, just in time for Dixon to deliver Uncharismatic, sending her spinning to the floor. The head shot has drawn a bit of blood from his nose and the sight of it on the back of his hand has Nathaniel in a bit of a state. He forcefully rolls Jane back into the ring and hits the far ropes, catching her on her rise with a second Uncharismatic and going for an immediate pin attempt, getting a two-count.
Jane is no stranger to violence, though, and is in fact invigorated by the assault. She can be seen to grin as the match devolves into a slugfest and catches Dixon by surprise with some hard fists and kicks. Kara Tarantino warns her off about the closed fists, but that just makes Harper go for knees instead, along with clubbing shots to the back. Nathaniel is dropped to his hands and knees by the assault. Jane gets some distance and charges but Dixon lunges and takes out the right leg, sending Harper into a flip to the canvas. He grabs the leg the moment heâs upright, throwing hard kicks to the hamstring area before applying a classic spinning toe hold. Twisting the ankle after, he puts pressure on the Broke Chick, who denies any opportunity to give up. She eventually twists herself out of Nathanielâs grip and manages a drop toe hold that sends into the middle rope, but she cannot capitalize owing to the damage done to her leg. Heâs back up and about before she can attack, but an enzuigiri puts him on the back leg again, with a kneeling DDT spiking Dixonâs head off the canvas, leading to a near-fall. Still, hampered mobility keeps Jane from fighting full bore. A spinning backfist is enough to stun Nathaniel, but he retorts sharply with the Evolutionary Imperative, leading to both of them dropping to the mat simultaneously. Dixon drapes the arm over Harper, but she gets the shoulder up at two-and-a-half.
Nathaniel is the first one up, cradling his jaw a bit, while Harper pulls herself up via the ropes. A charge from Nathaniel sees her half-move, half-stagger, aside. Dixon catches himself at the ropes and in that moment Jane delivers a rope-assisted swinging kick that drops Dixon to a knee. Attempting to follow up with a ripcord knee sees her scooped up and powerbombed to the mat by Nathaniel, whoâs still catching his breath. He folds her up into a jackknife cover, but still only gets two. Jane yanks him into the ropes throat-first, then heaves off a kick to the chest that has Nathaniel reeling. K.O. Bitch is loaded up but the leg gives way and Dixon is able to move aside, hitting the ropes and nailing the Evolutionary Imperative dead-on to put Harper down for the win.
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: The winner of the match, heading to the Iron Heart Championship Match⌠NATHANIEL DIXON!
The man has been in a war, but Dixon still has the energy to celebrate his win. He makes a smooth exit before Chi Chi reaches the ring to check on her partner, though, if only to save his teeth from an attempted extraction by the sadistic tooth fairy. Backing up the ramp, Nathaniel holds both arms in the air as Chi Chi glares after him briefly.
Bernadette Olson: And we have our match for Vanguard #20: Nathaniel Dixon versus Melissa Tasman for the Iron Heart Championship! Determination versus energy, experience versus fire!
Jacob Frankel: Thatâs gonna be a good one for sure! But credit to Harper tonight for giving as good as she got!
Winner: Nathaniel Dixon
Result: Pinfall at 9:39 (Evolutionary Imperative)

Whatâs Glory Worth?
Whatâs Glory Worth?
The HYBRID cameras go backstage to the locker room of the Vanguard Champion, the Samoan War Machine, Aleki Kekoa. The champion paces like a caged tiger with the Vanguard Championship resting on his shoulder as he prepares to head out for his title defense against Cordelia Clark. Aleki shakes his head and chuckles before speaking up.
Aleki Kekoa: I have to give you credit, Cordelia. Here you are again with an opportunity for the Vanguard Championship... MY Vanguard Championship. But I'm not surprised. You're good at what you do. You wouldn't be a FORMER Vanguard Champion if you didn't have the skill and tenacity to climb to the top of the Vanguard division. Unfortunately for you, I entered the picture. And when the Samoan War Machine enters ANY title picture everyone ends up at the feet of the God of War. It is inevitable. I am INEVITABLE! It is my divine right.
Aleki stops pacing and unshoulders the Vanguard Championship. He walks up to the camera and places the belt face plate front and center.
Aleki Kekoa: Last Vanguard, you said this championship was worth digging into the deepest recesses of your soul. That you were willing to even enter places of your soul that you didn't want to go but now find it necessary.
Aleki backs the championship belt up and holds it tightly.
Aleki Kekoa: Excellent! I want you to go to those sacred places of your soul and draw upon whatever power you need so that I get your absolute best with no room for excuses. I am determined to test every resource you have available so at the end of the night you have no doubt you gave it all; that you left everything in the ring for this Vanguard Championship. That you gave the very soul of Cordelia Clark for this championship.
A sinister smirk forms on the champion's face.
Aleki Kekoa: For it will be a futile sacrifice to the God of War.
Aleki securely shoulders the championship belt.
Aleki Kekoa: Do you really think that just because I want your very soul in the ring tonight, I won't go to even deeper depths of my soul to keep this Vanguard Championship? Oh, Cordelia, if you only knew the dark power I have tapped into to ensure that this Vanguard Championship goes nowhere but where it is currently placed. This... power... comes in the form of an unquenchable hellfire. No one is exempt from the searing and scorching blasts of its core. Flesh will be torn. Blood will be spilled. Skin burned. Morals forgotten. Even I will not be able to control it once it is unleashed. But you have left me no choice, Cordelia. I must unleash it in order to keep my Vanguard Championship. Pray that you may withstand its onslaught.
Aleki glares at the camera and pats the title belt.
Aleki Kekoa: Cordelia Clark... this is my divine right.
Fade to black.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Dismiss This!
Dismiss This!
Cordelia Clark is in the locker room and she is as intense and as focused as she can be. She knows the magnitude of what is coming up and by no means is she going to downplay this whatsoever. Sheâs definitely feeling that focus as she begins to express her thoughts.
Cordelia Clark:I got what I wantedâŚ
Cordelia takes a serious pause, nt even thinking about the timing of it so much.
Cordelia Clark:Sooner than I thought, sure. But thereâs no way I can even come close to complaining about that. Still, Aleki Kekoa wants to walk around here thinking that heâs got this whole thing in the bag, right? Iâve seen how he talks about me. Iâve seen that he wants me to just bow to his will. Iâve never been known to do something like that for anyone and Iâm not going to start now. But, I also know that this is a match that I canât afford to lose because I chose the path to get this championship back. I couldâve gone for another title, but thereâs n way I am going to let Stormfront be the last word on anything⌠not when you consider how this whole thing started to begin with. Thatâs all I need to say about that because I am nt going to recap it to death, but still, itâs no secret that if I lose this rematch, whatever revenge that I want to gain for that? Any opportunity that I have to be the Vanguard Champion again? Itâs gone. Iâd have to start all over again, figure things out and⌠you know⌠Iâll cross that bridge if god forbid I have to⌠right now, I just have to focus on what is in front of meâŚ
Cordelia decides that she wants to pause for a little bit longer as she thinks back to some times of her life and career that she can talk about that just might relate to this.
Cordelia Clark: Iâve had people come up to me and ask me why I am so âbentâ over this as it pertains to the Vanguard Championship. It mainly comes from people that think I shouldâve just moved on to another title or to another wrestler. Well, for me? Thatâs an easy question. For much of my career, hell, much of my life, people have treated me like Iâm some type of pushover for whatever reason and it generally relates to some stupid role that Iâve been assigned that I have no control over. For example, growing up? Yeah, I was the baby of the family. I had to live with being the younger sister. My family, my momâs side in particular, would generally fawn over my big sister and they basically just saw me as âMorganâs sisterâ and little more than that. Iâve been treated like Iâm some sort of pushover in this business either because people on occasion want to punish me for my cousinâs previous actions or because they think that due to being one of the youngest, most emotionally open wrestlers on the roster that Iâm not important or that they can just dismiss me like I donât matterâŚ
âŚwell I DO!
For all the lack of experience that Iâve had going on compared to most people on the roster, my heart, passion and dedication to the business and being better every step of the way. That has, by the way, included growing enough confidence to not just accept placements, rankings, or whatever you want to call them that other people want to assign to me and t fight to prove people wrong or to overcome them to show them that hey, Iâm not some sweetheart pushover that you can just jerk around and knock to the ground at your own content.
To hell with that! And to hell with Aleki and his way of thinking. So all in all, when I take that championship back from him, you best believe that HE WILL realize it. At this point, I think he just wants to push me around just for the fun of it but thatâs all going to backfire in the end.
Iâm not the runt of the litter that I once was when I was growing up or when my wrestling journey was getting started⌠and if he walks to keep treating me like it? Then hey, regaining that title from him and gaining my revenge will all be sweeter in the end!
Cordelia bolts from the scene at this point, having made her message clear. From there, the scene fades out.

Vanguard Championship Match
Singles/One Fall
Cordelia Clark vs. Aleki Kekoa (C)
DING! DING! DING!
Cordelia is on a mission and it shows; she takes the fight directly to Aleki and though he handles the onslaught well enough, the former champion has the current one on defense to the point where Zach Young has to get in between them before things escalate too far. Aleki takes that opportunity to sneak in a cheap shot, belting Clark in the eye with a left hand! Staggering back, Cordelia manages to take Aleki down as he pushes past the official, tripping him to the mat and laying in some crossface shots from the rear before he shoves her off. The Samoan God of War, riled up by his tenacious adversary, lays her out hard with a clothesline before taking hold of the ropes and trying to stomp a crater into her head! Cordelia rolls out of the ring and trips the champion up while Young is reading him the Riot Act, yanking him out of the ring and bouncing his head off the steel steps! Aleki takes the shot in stride and drives the point of his elbow into her breadbasket before grabbing Clark by hair and gear and slinging her into the barricade!
The challenger fights back in kind, taking advantage of Kekoa pausing to trash-talk to send him into the ring post, then back into the ring. Clark follows after him, dropping some forearm shots to the head before going for the pin. The champ kicks out just after two but Cordelia mounts him and lays in some piston-like rights before sheâs shoved off. A boot to the midsection drops her to her hands and knees, her overzealousness costing her, though she gets out of the way of a curb stomp. She bull-rushes Aleki into the corner, but elbows driven between her shoulders make Clark back off. A lariat out of the corner knocks her to the ground and Aleki goes for a rather cocky cover, getting a long one-count out of it and laughing as a result. He scoops up Cordelia for a vertical suplex, holds on, and pulls her back up, this time for a brainbuster. He taunts the fans, who are clearly on the challengerâs side, and pays for it when Clark nails him dangerously close to the waistline! Another shot to the midsection doubles Aleki up for Cordelia to hit an implant DDT, getting her a long two-count as a result! The Doll Slayer attempts her Sound of Silence, but the champion reaches the ropes, breaking this up! Clark turns it into a pinning predicament for a near-fall, but Aleki breaks loose and hurls her from the ring!
After landing on the outside, Clark is about to get back in the ring, feeding off her determination, when someone bolts down the ramp and charges, knocking her back down and battering on her while the champion has the referee distracted! The redhead then rolls Cordelia back into the ring, leaving a suddenly eager Aleki to finish things off. A running front dropkick sends Clark inot the buckles, recoiling her to the mat, but the pin only gets to two-and-a-half! Clark, battered but now furious and jacked up on adrenaline, fights back against a stunned Kekoa, sending him between the buckles and into the ringpost before the redhead gets up on the apron, yelling at the challenger! Cordelia, despite being warned off, grabs her by the hair and yanks her into the ring, hitting an ace crusher before blasting her with Educated! Aleki, at this point, charges back at Clark, leading to the redhead trying to get a piece, too! As a result, Zach Young throws the match out!
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: The referee has decreed this match a no-contest! As a result, STILL the Vanguard Champion⌠ALEKI KEKOA!
Bernadette Olson: That must be Brianna Matthews! The sometimes-partner of Aleki Kekoa who just signed with HYBRID! She's wasting no time making her presence felt!
Jacob Frankel: Her timing is less than perfect!
Kekoa and Matthews keeps attacking Cordelia after the match, but the mugging doesn't last long! "MIRAI Ticket" by Aqours hit and the lights go up in green as a face not seen in HYBRID for a long time comes charging down the ramp to even the odds!
Bernadette Olson: Is that-
Jacob Frankel: Ilda Matsuda! I dunno where she came from, but I'm glad to see her!
The fans share that sentiment as The Emerald Queen hits the ring and goes for Brianna Matthews battering her with kicks to the ribs and midsection before nailing the TKO to send Brianna out of the ring! The Vanguard Champion turns his attention to Clark's would-be savior and starts attacking, but that gives Cordelia time to get back up and, along with Ilda, the two clothesline Aleki out of the ring! Brianna keeps him from charging back in, handing him his title as the two head up the ramp!
Bernadette Olson: What a return for Matsuda! Cordelia doesn't quite know what to make of her, but she looks grateful for assist!
Jacob Frankel: What happens now, though?! Did Ilda just show up to help, or does she want a crack at Aleki herself?!
Bernadette Olson: Maybe we'll get some answers soon!
Winner: None (Champion Retains)
Result: No-Contest at 6:18 (Interference)

And First UpâŚ
And First UpâŚ
As Vanguard returns from a brief promotional break, âNIBâ by Ugly Kid Joe is already playing and Javier Mateo Duran is in the ring, ready to fight. Dressed for action, he paces back and forth, awaiting the arrival of his first opponent in his Open Challenge Series. The fans, as well, are pumped to see what goes down.
Bernadette Olson: Who will it be, I wonder? Word is that no one stepped up on social media but that, earlier today, a message was sent to Aloysius Marcus Vance IV by someone who wants to take the shot.
Jacob Frankel: As I hear it, they were affiliated with the previous incarnation of HYBRID and are still training at the Combat School. That narrows it down, but I still wonder who it might be-
Wonders that are put to rest as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakersâ âRunninâ Down a Dreamâ starts up and Aaron Lawrence makes his entrance at the State Farm Arena! Despite not actively competing for years now, the man is in excellent shape and looks quite pleased by the reaction heâs getting!
Bernadette Olson: Big Country, huh? I can get behind this!
Javier locks on to Aaron and nods in satisfaction, cracking a small smile as he makes some room for Aaron to enter the ring! Lawrence steps up on the buckles and holds up a fist, saluting the fans before dropping back down.
Jacob Frankel: Looks like Javier is fine with this, too! A young, experienced star as his first opponent? Thatâs a good way to go!
Coming forward, Aaron extends his hand to Javier, who accepts it before the two back into their respective corners. Butch Ward, senior official, enters the ring and weâre ready to go!

Singles/One Fall
Javier Mateo Duran vs. Aaron Lawrence
DING! DING! DING!
Close in size and strength, the two men lock up and immediately itâs a battle of power and will. Aaron manages to back Javier into the buckles, but Javier reverses things in a hurry and lays in some rough chops before turning to right hands. Aaron takes some good licks before batting back, fighting Javier back to the center of the ring and eventually into the ropes, He shoots Duran off and delivers a snap powerslam that gets him a quick two-count, surprising Javier AND the fans! The blow takes some air out of Duran, who gets victimized by a back body drop and an elbow from Big Country, leading to another quick pin attempt. Still, itâs far from enough to keep Javier down, shown by him literally busting through a clothesline attempt, whirling Aaron around for the return strike in the form of a leaping shoulder! Aaronâs up quick but Javier is upon him, catching the big man on his return for a swinging side slam and a two-count of his own!
Aaron shakes it off, but Javierâs relentlessness keeps him from doing much in the way of fighting back. A Snake Eyes leaves Aaron staggering, and a burning hammer to follow up sends the air whooshing out of him. Javier grabs the arms and pulls back, his foot between Aaronâs shoulders before he stomps down in a vicious move that leaves Lawrence stilled for a moment. Javier pulls him up to his feet to add on more punishment, but finds himself quickly hoisted up to Aaronâs shoulders! Letting out a yell of adrenaline, Aaron goes into an airplane spin with the big man on his shoulders before spiking him with a Death Valley driver, a move he calls Dust in the Wind, which gets him a close near-fall! Keeping the pressure on, Aaron hits a trio of running clotheslines and goes for a stalling vertical suplex⌠but this time, Javier kicks out at one! The surprise immediately makes Aaron pause, and Javier pulls him into a cradle for two!
Pulled up, Aaron throws off Javierâs grip and tries to get back into control, going for a leaping shoulderblock only to have Javier spear him right out of the air! You can see the air leave the chest of Lawrence almost and he drops down, clutching his midsection. A choke hold pulls Lawrence up with surprising ease, leading to a chokeslam backbreaker from the former Runaway Train! Past that, itâs the Cosecha de Almas to put Aaron down for good, getting Javier the pin and the win!
DING! DING! DING!
Spirit Montego: And your winner⌠JAVIER MATEO DURAN!
Javier stands tall in the end, but from the look on his face you know he was in a fight⌠one that he appreciated. Aaron is up under his own power and gives the winner props. From his own smile, you could see that Big Country had his share of fun, too. Javier smirks and leaves the ring, heading up the ramp.
Bernadette Olson: After all that, itâll be tough to follow for Javierâs next opponent!
Jacob Frankel: I agree, but their efforts will mean some definite entertainment for all involved! Plus it was cool to see Aaron Lawrence in action again!
Bernadette Olson: Maybe weâll see more of him in the future!
Winner: Javier Mateo Duran
Result: Pinfall at 8:18 (Cosecha de Almas)
INTERVIEW SEGMENT
Queens of Chaos
Queens of Chaos
Backstage at the State Farm Center, before a hanging monitor with the Vanguard logo on repeat, backstage interviewer Dennis Folsom stands by with several impressive guests!
Dennis Folsom: Ladies and gentlemen, two factions have been warring back and forth in HYBRID for months and, tonight, another chapter that may prove to be just as intense if not more so than their battle at Stormfront is commencing in the main event! Please join me in welcoming my guests, representing the Queens of Chaos-
The camera pans over a bit, showing three young stars ready for war in the squared circle!
Dennis Folsom: -Super Tiger, Jessie Robinson and Jessi Ozborne!
Fans react positively to the three, who while appearing to be in high spirits, definitely look ready for a scrap. Jessi Ozborne, especially, looks ready to bust someone up. Super Tiger has a look in her eyes that demands attention as well, while the typically-gentler Jessie Robinson has an air of intensity about her that calls back to her return months ago. Dennis turns their way, microphone in hand.
Dennis Folsom: Queens, itâs safe to say that your altercations with the Gutter Ballet are getting more and more violent and personal with each go, no matter how many of you are involved at a time. Tonight, youâre facing off with Natural Resources and Chiaki Sanada in the main event. It would be silly of me to ask your plans for this match, so my main question is⌠is there any way this war can end without mutual destruction on both sides?
Just then, Ollie the Honorary Queen arrives on the scene kitted out in Queens of Chaos colors and wearing his âHonorary Queenâ T-shirt as he stands between his fellow Queens and focuses his attention on the interviewer.
Ollie the Honorary Queen That is a very good question, Dennis! And it has a very easy answer! No! You see⌠this whole thing started when Chiaki Sanada started âpopping teefiesâ and as a result has caused our poor Queen Bean an excruciating amount of pain!
Robinson rubs their cheek, remembering the times when Sanada assaulted their mouth.
Ollie the Honorary Queen And while we at the Queens of Chaos understand what it means to be loyal to your own?! If Gutter Ballet wants to continue to condone the actions of Chiaki?! Then the Queens of Chaos will respond in kind! Because while we do recognize the talents of Natural Resources and Chiaki Sanada?! Tonight, they are stepping into the ring against the legendary Super Tiger, Risa Saito! A woman who has done it all and done it all over the world! Theyâre stepping into the ring against the great Jessi Ozborne! Who at only twenty years of age has accomplished what most legends in this industry fail to accomplish in an entire career! And they are also stepping into the ring with Jessie Robinson! A bonafide game changer! A dark horse! A legend in the making in their own right! And tonight all three of them will bring destruction! They will bring CHAOS⌠to Gutter Ballet!
Jessie smiles as she looks at both Super Tiger and Jessi, standing between the two of them as she canât help but just giggle as Ollie goes on with his hype speech before she looks right at Dennis and then at her two partners.
Jessie Robinson: Yeah, this whole thing with Gutter Ballet, itâs getting to be about as ridiculous as my time dealing with the fake queen in Hybrid, Bianca Davis. The only real difference is, people actually kinda like Gutter Ballet and for the most part, they fight honorably. Chiaki though, that girl is a monster and I swear, sheâs crazy. She honestly scares me more than anyone else in that group and my I can still feel the pain in my mouth when I go to eat some hard candy! Tonight is going to be another war, but I have two people who have believed in me from the very beginning, two people I wanna be like when I become a big girl. These two saw something in me that I didnât even see in myself for the longest time.
Jessie smiles, putting an arm around both Jessi and Super Tiger, giving them a light squeeze.
Jessie Robinson: If I can be half the woman either one of them are, Iâll be happy with myself. There arenât two other people Iâd rather go to war with on my side either. These are two of the toughest and best wrestlers in the entire world. Theyâve both held countless amounts of titles all over the world and they know what it means to be the best. I canât wait to just kick some butt with the two of you out there.
Risa nods, cracking a grin as she puts an arm around Jessie's waist.
Super Tiger: Well, Bean, that's exactly what we're gonna do. Let's not forget Cheech got one of my teeth too.
The Diminutive Dynamo turns to the camera, holding her cheek open to show the still missing tooth.
Super Tiger: But let's not discount our opponents tonight. Gutter Ballet, as a group, have been a really successful group. Chiaki Sanada, both on her own and in her own tag team, Two Broke Chicks, has been an absolute force of nature.
Risa nods, stroking her chin with her free hand.
Super Tiger: : But her and I both have a lot in common. Japanese joshi with a knack for hardcore and deathmatches. Sure, she's got more practice in, but I've only ever lost one! Tonight, the Queens of Chaos will stand tall, and we're going to do so tagging with none other than the Queen of Queens herself, Jo!
Jessi Ozborne maintains her silence for the moment, but she clearly agrees with the sentiments of the others.
Jessi Ozborne: Iâll admit that Gutter Ballet is good. They were good enough to beat my girls in Cage of Survival, and on any other night theyâd be good enough to beat us in the main event. Keywords being âany other nightâ. Ollie already put it on for us, but I have to reiterate the caliber of the athletes theyâre stepping up to tonight. Because even if you take away an all-timer like Super Tiger, or an all-timer in the making like Jessie Robinson, you still Jessi Ozborne. Not only that, but a determined Jessi Ozborne.
I havenât forgotten the harm that Gutter Ballet, namely Chiaki Sanada, caused to my girls. One thing thatâll get you put six feet under real quick is messing around with my family. But as Tiggy said, they like Gutter Ballet, and theyâre a respected commodity. Maybe we can break bread with them any other time. Tonight, for me, is about getting our pound of flesh.
Dennis Folsom: Talk like that gives us hope that maybe once this battle is over, there wonât be any hard feelings⌠something rare in this business. But only time will tell with that. I wish you the best of luck out there tonight, Queens!
And with that, the cameras cut awayâŚ

Tag Team/One Fall
Natural Resources & Chiaki Sanada vs. Super Tiger, Jessie Robinson & Jessi Ozborne
DING! DING! DING!
All six competitors are in the ring, standing across from one another. Jessi Ozborne staring down Rain, arms crossed over her chest. Jessie Robinson is looking determined as she stands across from GoGo, no sign of her usual unease now that she has two veteran members of the Queens of Chaos on either side of her. Lastly we have Risa Saito and Chiaki Sanada, the two smallest women in this match, but they are certainly the loudest, screaming at one another in their shared native language. Jessi and Jessie step out of the ring for the Queenâs of Chaos, while the Natural Resources step out on their side. The bell rings and the two joshi launch themselves forward, fueled by the not so kind back and forths theyâve been having on twitter lately. Risa throw a forearm but Chiaki slaps her arm down and away with both hands before sending a kick at the other Asian womanâs lower leg. Saito checks the kick as she steps forward, throwing a european uppercut that Sanada just barely manages to step back from. Chi Chi goes to lock up but Tiggy reverses that with an arm drag, only for Cheech to land on her feet. The crowd is already going wild as the two Japanese women throw all the violence they can behind each strike as the other manages to deflect or evade. A lightning fast set of attacks sees the two joshi back in the center of the ring, and Risa goes for a roundhouse! Chiaki thinking the same thing! BOTH KICKS CONNECT FLUSH! Sanada and Saito both hit the mat, dazed. The Queenâs in their corner urge Risa to come in and make a tag, while the Natural Resources do the same.
Both legal competitors begin crawling toward their corners, leaping at almost the same time to tag inâŚ
Jessi Ozborne explodes into the ring for the Queens of Chaos as Rain comes in representing Gutter Ballet. Ozborne shoots for a clothesline but Rain ducks it, running forward to rebound of the ropes. She looks for her own lariat but Jo ducks, snapping Rain up, over, and back down with a wicked powerslam. She makes a cover, but the Shieldmaiden kicks out at one. Not letting this dissuade her, the Reina Asesina pulls her opponent to her feet, clinching up to drive a couple of knees into Rainâs diaphragm, but as sheâs pushed back, she comes just close enough to her team's corner for Gogo to make a blind tag! Jessie Robinson calls out to Jessi Ozborne, and Jo breaks the clinch, but not before Gogo comes in off a springboard knee strike that catches Jessi flush on the jaw. The Queen of Queens crumples to the mat, and Gogo goes for the cover!

No! Robinson dives in, breaking up the pin attempt! Sanada is in the ring almost immediately, throwing a violent, wild series of strikes into Jessie, but they manage to defend most of them until a hard forearm rocks them. Before Chi Chi can capitalize, the crowd gets loud as Risa leaps from the top turnbuckle, slamming into Cheech with a crossbody! Jessie and Risa throw Chi Chi out of the ring before going to get Jessi back to her feet until GoGo and Rain are there throwing a lariat and superkick in near perfect sync! Jessie gets turned inside out by Rainâs lariat, and Saito is seeing stars after the kick connects. Both members of the Queens of Chaos roll out of the ring to the floor, but Ozborne is back on her feet! She circles eyes on GoGo, and just as the Shieldmaiden turns around⌠BANGARANG! The corkscrew kick finds its mark, dropping the GB member to the mat in a heap. Ozborne drags her out of the corner to the middle of the ring, hooking a leg.

No! GoGo throws her shoulder up at the last moment! Jessi looks down in disbelief, eyes going back to the ref. She holds up two fingers, and the referee nods, holding up to of their own before signaling that GoGo got a shoulder up. Jessi swears, clearly annoyed, but she gets back to her feet. The crowd is chanting now. They want Jessie Robinson in this match! Clearly surprised, the Queen Bean starts to get pumped, and she holds her hand out to Jessi. Ozborne gathers GoGo up, pulling her toward her team's corner, but just as the two Jâs go to tag, Chiaki Sanada yanks Robinson off the apron before Irish whipping her into the ring steps to a LOUD chorus of boss from the audience! Jo stares down at Chi Chi with murderous intent, but turns back to the task at hand as the referee yells at Sanada to get back to her corner. Rain is screaming at GoGo to snap out of it, stomping on the apron, but Risa is back up on her teamâs side. She takes the tag from Jessi, and the two hit a double DDT on GoGo in their corner. Risa gets her opponent to her feet, hitting a crisp combination of open palms strikes to the chest and stiff kicks to the thigh before whipping GoGo into the ropes. She rebounds, coming forward but Tiggy slides and hooks the ankle! SHINOBI SLIDE! The heel hook is locked in and GoGo screams out as she claws to try and get to the bottom rope. She doesnât stay locked in too long, however, as Rain comes in, sprinting across the ring before blasting Saito with a sliding knee! Risa goes all but limp, allowing Rain to pull GoGo out of the predicament before dragging her over to the GB corner, getting out of the ring before reaching down to slap her tag partner across the shoulder.
Clean tag, and Rain is in the match, but with her last bit of strength, Risa manages to tag in Jessie! They sprint across the ring at each other, and Robinson leaps, catching her opponent with a headscissors whip that sends them out through the middle ropes and to the floor. Queen Bean wastes no time, hopping twice in place before using the ropes for momentum⌠SUICIDE DIVE! Rain crashes into the barricade, and Jessie is pumped! They roar, and the crowd pops with them! That cheer is quickly dashed as Chiaki Sanada comes flying in from out of NOWHERE off the apron! CHI CHI BANG BANG!! Jessieâs head is spiked into the floor! Risa comes running around the ring to assist, but GoGo comes off the apron from the other direction with a meteora, rolling to her knees. BITCH-CRAFT OUT OF NOWHERE! The camera barely catches Ozborne hitting the reverse shining wizard almost instantly as GoGo rolled to her knees! The ringside area is in shambles, but Jessi grabs Jessie, pulling them to their feet. Rain is up on a knee, hauling herself up on the apron. The refereeâs waves off their count as both women roll back into the ring.
Both teams are back in their respective corners now. Jessie is crawling towards the Queens of Chaos, and Rain is slowly making her way back towards Gutter Ballet.
It all happens at the same instant: Jessie Bean tags Jessi Ozborne! Rain tags Chi Chi! Both women of their respective teams jump the ropes and come flying on foot at each other and start trading rapid punches. The referee starts to warn about hair pulling and closed fists but Jessi shoves Chi Chi back and chins her with a superkick! Chi Chiâs rocked but not down! Jessi shoots for a Spinning Heel Kick but Chi Chi ducks and when Jessiâs spun around with her back to her, she springs up and spikes Jessi with a Poisonrana!! Jessi ricochets up onto her knees, seeing stars and Chi Chi hits the ropes, shrieking like a wildcat as she drives her knee into Jessiâs jaw with a Shining Wizard! Jessi goes down and Chi Chi lands sitting on her chest, catching a leg from behind her.

Jessi still explodes out of the cover and Chi Chi slaps the mat in pure anger. She pulls Jessi up by the hair and starts just feeding her strong style knees and forearms. Jessi looks like sheâs about to go down but she falls back into the ropes, bounces back and knocks the shit out of Chi Chi with a forearm of her own. Chi Chi stumbles and Jessi grabs her by the arm, Irish Whipping her violently into the ropes. She doesnât see GoGo blind tag Chi Chi on the back. Jessi nails Chi Chi on the rebound with a discus forearm, knocking her down onto her knees. She hits the ropes. Comes off. DISENCHANTED!!!! The kicks SMACKS Chi Chi right across the head and she drops back onto the mat. Jessi drops down for the cover but the referee has to tell her Chi Chi isnât the legal opponent anymore. Jessi questions this for a split second before she turns just in time to see GoGo reaching the top turnbuckle. Thinking on the fly, Jessi pops to her feet, runs and springs up off of the ropes with a springboard Enziguri to GoGo! GoGo looks like sheâs about to topple forward into the ring but somehow, her balance shifts and to the horror of literally everyone - even Jessi herself - she goes backwards and to the outside from the top of the ringpost! GoGo somehow manages to land on her feet but one of her knees clearly buckles and she lets out a shrill yelp of pain, instantly grabbing at her leg.
Bernadette Olson: That didnât sound good at all!
Jacon Frankel: No it did not!
Inside the ring, Chi Chi finds her way to her feet and starts to go after Jessi again but the referee tries to usher her out. Thatâs when Chi Chi notices that GoGo isnât getting up from the floor, but is instead clutching her leg at ringside IN TEARS! Chi Chiâs wild expression drops and she immediately disengages from Jessi, sliding out to GoGo. Rain drops down beside her tag team partner and the two kneel by the bubbly highflyer whoâs clearly not in her chipper competitive mood anymore.
Chi Chi Sanada: Stop match!
Chi Chi calls up to the referee but through the crowd noise, he doesnât seem to hear her at first and begins to administer the count until Rain stands up and bellows at the top of her lungs.
Rain: STOP THE FUCKING MATCH!!!
The referee stops the count and comes out to check on GoGo for a moment before waving the ring doctor over. Inside the ring, Jessi Ozborne has a look of concern on her face as sheâs joined by Jessi Robinson and Risa Saito. All of the Queens of Chaos present look troubled by whatâs going on. Meanwhile, GoGo continues to clutch her knee with tears down her face. The doctor says something to the referee and the official throws up the âX.â
Jacon Frankel: Oh my god, no.
Bernadette Olson: Theyâre stopping the match? This is bad. Real bad.
DING! DING! DING!
As the referee comes into the ring to explain to the Queens of Chaos whatâs going on, Rain stays by GoGoâs side, helping keep her calm while the EMTs arrive. Chi Chi stands up from beside GoGo and lifts her head. Sheâs gone from concerned and remorseful to now having a look of pure, unbridled rage in her eyes as she slowly turns back towards the ring and suddenly launches herself in under the bottom ropes. The Queens barely have time to look away from the referee before Chi Chi comes flying at Jessi Ozborne like a wild animal! Risa and Jessie Robinson work to pull her off. Even Rain, seeing this happen, hurries into the ring and pulls her stable mate off.
Bernadette Olson: Jacob, I donât think this was the sought after result by Jessi Ozborne. I know she said she was gonna get involved in this whole thing. She said she was finished watching things spiral out of control on the sidelines but this had to be an accident!
Jacob Frankel: Clearly!
Risa and Robinson help Jessi to her feet as the leader of the Queens of Chaos appears to be attempting to apologize for what happened. Chiaki Sanadaâs having none of it and is just trying to rip free from Rain to get at her. Security guards come in to hold Chi Chi back so Rain can go be with GoGo again. The referee ushers the Queens out of the ring, letting them return to the locker room as the EMTs wheel GoGo off on a stretcher with Rain tagging along behind them. Chi Chi is still trying to pry herself away from the security guards in a frenzy until Head of Security, Trenton âForgeâ Mitchell arrives and has to wrap the girl up in a sleeper hold until she passes out. The shot fades into the next set.
